Internships in BLOCKCHAIN
Required skills at least five among:
C++, Java, Java Script, Python, Solidity, Simplicity, PHP, Ruby, Rust, GO, C#, CX, Rholang, Scilla, Vyper.
Why do they expect so much? 🙄4 -
I have so many questions in my head…
Should I focus doing front-end or back-end?
For mobile dev, flutter or react native?
Kanban or Agile?
Google cloud or AWS?
Switch to Linux or stick to WSL2?
Solidity or Rust for blockchain apps?
Best low-code that my dev peers won’t hate me for using?
If starting a project,
Bootstrapping or chase after VCs?
Do you guys use conditioner when you run out of shaving cream?
Keto or vegan?
Is milk really that bad for our body??37 -
I'm most excited about Smart Contracts & Distributed Applications.
In early January I started learning Solidity thinking it would be super difficult but was pleasantly surprised when I'd completed my first DApp in a couple days. Two months on and I've finished 3 major projects and launched my own Udemy course.
I'm not a big follower of Crypto Currencies at all and haven't become financially invested in anything really. I just love the way development works on a blockchain; it is quite interesting and It feels really fresh solving problems using code that will become immutable. -
Okay, so, my company does some stuff around blockchain. I had source for smart contract prepared before and it was on 'todo' queue. So, time for it, time to deploy on Kovan, time to test it on actual chain. Riiiight? Okay compiled no problem, deployed, no problem, i plug into several gui's ABI provided by compiler, and... Well..
I still do not understand why each and every gui prompted me to send view transactions (external view), instead of, well, eval them locally, i checked the ABI manually, it is correct, i stripped it down, it is correct, all up to spec.
I try older version of offline MEW, to have older web3.js with no success that thing works properly.
Every
Single
Web3.js based client
Behaved
Differently
And none behaved correctly.
I would, like, understand, if I didnt use official compiler, but official compiler should for F sakes be compatible with official client.
Today this stole 6 hours of my life, I didnt manage to solve it, and I am legitmitely pissed.
Im getting close to re-implement segment of web3JS to be able to do the tests I need to do.
Its not like I havent done it before.... -
Recruiter: I just had a look through your skillset and experience and wow - I am impressed. Looks like you have worked with quite a few different languages and those 2 FAANG companies really stand out when looking through your CV. So let me tell you something.. rather than me going through the roles I had in mind for you, why don't you tell me what would be the next big thing for you?
Me: Well I've been looking into Blockchain for a few years now; specifically Solidity and Rust with web3 now. It'd be great to at least have some exposure to any of these.
Recruiter: Ah yes, these are definitely the next big things, however the roles I have here right now for Solidity, Rust or web3, require around 3 years of commercial experience. I have a lead Rust engineer role, however they need someone who has worked on NFT based projects extensively.
Me: Sounds like you have made a decision to send me to another Nodejs/React role, so what's with the big talk then?5 -
You know what pisses me off about Solidity?
The lack of useful information and the bullshit around it.
How many times I see a video named “Advanced Smart Contract Testing” and go through it to see that it includes...
- setup the testing in a project
- run a simple test
- test the basic attributes of a token (name, symbol etc.)
- the end
THE FUCKING END???!!!
Are you kidding me! Advanced what?
The problem is that smart contract “auditors” are getting paid $500,000 USD for 2 months of auditing. Yeah, that’s right, half a million to look over code and write a report.
So why would those folks ever share that knowledge? They wouldn’t.
That’s why you have these fucking jokers who go and get a basic understanding of Solidity and then make an “Advanced Solidity Course”
To each their own though, if it makes them feel good about themselves then go for it.
But from me, you can take your “advanced” course and shove it up your basic ass, sideways.2 -
It’s happening.. started to see Solidity listed as programming language skill on resumé, next to C++..2

Thinking of making a project using the Blockchain to get better understanding of it.
Confused whether to use Ethereum Blockchain (Solidity) or Bitcoin Blockchain (bcoin API). Any help!1 -
Can anyone suggest me how I can learn building dapps in fortnight? I went through a lot of medium articles and dapp university but all of it was not enough for me.3

Online Multiplayer Mafia party game built on Ethereum.
Project Type: Existing open source project
Description: I found that most of the blockchain game projects in this space are using traditional web2 technology for hosting gameplay. So, we decided to create a game that utilizes web3 technologies as much as possible for our project and create services like real-time chat, game rooms, player profiles that can be used by other games. These services are very common among modern online multiplayer games and we need a reliable and scalable alternative that uses a web3 tech stack. So, we have decided to create a game that incorporates all these features.
Blockchain smart contracts development is complete. I need help in backend and frontend development. You don't need to have any experience in Blockchain.
Tech Stack: Express.js + React.js + IPFS + Solidity
Current Team Size: 1
URL: https://github.com/cryptomafias/...
Note: We are eligible for a grant from the protocol labs - the company behind IPFS.8 -
Who has experience with Blockchain - Smart Contracts - Solidity language?
Would love to share resources if anyone is interested.2 -
Blockchain .. now that I have enrolled for a blockchain developer bootcamp costing to me a fortune, its clear to me how hyped can normal data structures get.
Its like iphone of the world of technologies.
And seriously people are doing MS in blockchain technology... I mean its a clear example of how the education fraud rings can capitalize even on a shitty tech just to suck out the wallets... Damn1 -
*learns solidity/smart-contract dev and is excited to start a blockchain revolution and spark new pathways to financial freedom*
realizes none of my friends even know what blockchain is, and don't care. feelsbadman 😢2 -
I'm starting to learn Solidity, and explore about smart contracts.
Anyone have a nice resource for learning?7 -
I’ve been doing a lot of solidity development lately in my professional life.
Now I get that nested arrays aren’t implemented yet. But it is still weird not being able to have an array of strings.
(Strings are arrays of characters and that would be a meted array) -
Few years ago, I started my journey on Ethereum development. I discovered an amazing and very promising ecosystem that is placing the foundation stones of the future of the internet as we know it.
So today, I decided to write a 'getting started' article as an introduction to some of the more obscure concepts.

Why NOT much Solidity Blockchain Jobs out there?
Just a quick question , I see a lot of people claiming to teach blockchain development by teaching solidity , React and making full stack Dapps with web3. ( thats it ) Now there are other articles and stuff that you python and node.js as well to teach blockchain. But for now I am calling out the major tutorials/yTube channels etc. [ wont be taking names , am sorry ]
But when you go out in the job market. there is simply NOT enough jobs under this area.
yes there are jobs of blockchain dev, but then they have a huge part of them including Python/node.js/java.
So what should I draw out a conclusion , u simply cannot be a blockchain developer without being a full stack MERN/Python-React/Java-React. developer2
