@BlackSparrow I live in Israel. I served not far away from the border with Egypt, and my friends served in the battalions guarding it.
It's relatively peaceful - biggest issues are drug trade and illegal immigrants crossing the border.
There was some ISIS activity but the Egyptian army seems to handle it. -
@jespersh The Egyptian border, and the one with Jordan - from the Dead Sea to Eilat, are often guarded by mixed-gender battalions (~70% women). Since the battalions are pretty new, and combatant women are still a bit of a controversy in Israel, they are currently assigned to "less dangerous" regions.
But the prettiest ladies in the army are traditionally chosen to serve in the air force :P -
