I know its Microsoft and there is a lot of hate and distrust against them.

But for those willing to provide an opinion that goes beyond "0mG fCk MekRo$0ft!!" I will ask you this:

Have you heard about the vcpkg? Package manager for C++. If so what are your thoughts on it??

Well shit bud there's your problem.

Only a few go past that and when they do, it's oftentimes the same bullshit regurgitated.

Well that applies more so for people outside of dR.

Heard about vcpkg. But didn't have time to further read into it. I also don't have done that many C++ projects so far.

So it's basically a package manager similar to nuget, but instead of downloading the binaries directly, it downloads the source and compiles it.
In my opinion, if something like that is needed, this means there's something wrong with the way libraries are provided in the VS C++ world. I mean if I'd need the source to debug a library I'd still have to do it manually. What reason would there be to compile the sources to just get the binaries?

@Stuxnet man at this time I would work on Amiga OS just as long as something gets me out of building web pages.

@AleCx04 Machine learning? Legit field (despite the jokes), good prospects, v. interesting.

@AleCx04 Yea that can be a drag. I've not touched a line of web dev related code in almost a month. I had spent 90% of my free time on a project only to fuck it up beyond repair. Really bummed me out and demotivated me.

I'll start back probably first of the week and have a second shot at it. School's starting soon and I'll need something to occupy me during the free time.

@RememberMe i would love to. Been digging into it more and more. It would be a good move since I am good at math and do have an academic background on A.I and M.L. my only issue is that I have no professional background with it :(
Wouldn't know where to start :(
