I fucking hate the design and aesthetics of PC gaming hardware in general. Who the fuck do they design those things for, edgy teenagers? Give me something that looks well built and professional, damnit. Heck, most console designs are much better.

Well, everything labeled and marketed as 'GAMING' is mostly aimed towards edgy teens.

In the gaming industry they are the huge majority.

There is lots of 'professional looking' hardware. But they aren't labeled as 'ULTRA EXTREME GAMING'.
Same price, same specs and perform the same

Well, it's gamers, what did you expect? That said, I'd build my own.. then the only thing that looks like it's been built for edgy teens is the graphics card, and even that you could modify to get better performance with the help of custom water cooling etc (which the edgy teens for the love of the Holy Raven can't do).

Because there is the RGB LEDs law. The more leds the better gaming performance.

Are kids not water-cooling anymore? They sure were in the early oughts, when I was only a little older than them.

@bahua it's still a thing, although from what I've seen it's mostly closed-loop systems now. Still can't figure out what the benefit is when most of the pre-configured systems with water cooling ship with stock clocks so they don't violate the OEM's warranties...

@bahua most certainly it's still a thing, but people usually don't look much further than a couple of screws anymore. So I doubt that many people would unlid their shiny graphics cards to get rid of the fans and add a water cooler to its GPU 🤔
