Real story, I'm not kidding you.
But I wouldn't believe it, if it hadn't happened right now.

Customer calls, one device gets no mobile data connection.
I checked everything ... no errors to be found. Just no connection.

After half an hour we found the reason: Someone inserted the SIM the wrong way.

*facepalm*

How the hell can someone put in a SIM the wrong way? There is only one way it'll fit in.
I don't get it.

    I once saw a pic of RAM inserted the wrong way, people manage to do the most stupid stuff when they think they're clever.

    Well... sometimes a device isn't build in a logical way. It's not often that this happens but there may be devices where the chip needs to face up instead of down.

    Btw... the card fits in in two positions in my case. (or 4 if I'm just rotating it 😂)

    I hope he just wanted to test you

    @Irithyll Really? All SIM slots I know have the cut-out at the right spot and then the SIM just fits in that one position. Trying to fit in otherwise ends either not closing and locking the lid or sticking out parts of the SIM.

    @hubiruchi I'm pretty sure not.

    @ddephor
    In that case - YES.
    In my case I had to cut it myself. (the card is old as shit 😂)

    It may be that there are special gods like me 😝
