My home set up, tower is on the floor but also have a decent few laptops laying around.

    Urgh, Windows. Hope ure only using it to play not for development stuff..

    @caap or else? Will the great linux himself descend from mount arrogance and slay him for using another os than your preferred one? Hint windows is not just for gaming. Try and run a professional studio just on linux - good luck;)

    @ceee I almost never look at the background but did pay extra when I got my glasses to get blue filter on them just due to working and playing behind a screen all day lol

    @musician I'm actually looking forward to steams whole Linux thing going on. Lots of games suddenly working on it is great

    @linuxxx professional might have been the wrong term but I mean a studio where you need to be able to work with the clients protools/logic/nuendo/cubase/... files and work with tools like melodyne and vocalign. At least thats what we need to do in our studio but we also produce pretty big clients. If you do everything yourself it would work just fine.

    @musician Ah right. I know that Ardour is used by quite a few artists/recording persons and that's fully open source. I used LMMS myself (I'm a beginner) and it suits my needs so yeah.

    I get your point and years ago I'd have agreed but now there are so many awesome open solutions.
