Wtf is up with some education providers? Even the de facto industry leaders have half-assed courses. Not many are super high quality. They sound like they are speaking into a mic, forced to do it. Nothing like YouTube, more like middle-aged, depressed men with no life with no energy. I'd much rather learn elsewhere. This is akin to how some university professors give some lectures. Where are the passionate teachers of our world?

The ones that I enjoyed were: MIT, Harvard and Stanford. Perhaps it has to do with money. lol.

Totally get this. Some of those courses feel like they were recorded in one take after a long day of meetings. You can almost hear the existential dread in their voice. Meanwhile, some random person on YouTube with a whiteboard and a $20 mic somehow makes the concept stick.

I wonder how much it is because of the lack of interaction with live students but still "required" to do the standard learning docs? While a YT can concentrate on a specific topic? But definitely mirror the sentiment

@BordedDev Yes, I can imagine the lack of live audience but the YouTube one also has that lack. What is the motivator? Money, probably. I'm willing to bet that those other industry 'educators' took on the 'teaching' as an extra, unpaid role as is often the case in business.

YouTubers, on the other hand, they are usually passionate about what they are teaching and are doing it out of genuine drive.

@CaptainRant Well I know from teachers that the physical interaction with the kids was a big motivator, you know seeing the fruits of your labour with them learning to understand things. If that's what motivates you, it might not be that easy to do YT, I know back in school kids would gas up the teachers to do some online content as well
