Actually, that worked for my car. The immobilizer would kick in 5 minutes after shutting off the car (in case you forget to lock the car), so if you waited on a ferry or something, you had to get out the car, lock the door, and then unlock the door. (staying in car would sound the alarm as theres motion sensor in car)

the rolling code unlock signal, would disable the immobilizer for 5 minutes. So the key didnt contain any immobilizer chip, it was the remote's job to deimmobilize the car.
