Google's Testmysite is piece of shit.

Tested website got 6-7 sec, then built Mobile page and set redirection for mobile users.

Tested Mobile page got around 3-4 sec then tested homepage (which just redirect Mobile user to mobile page) it got fcking 6-7 seconds

FCK you Google, page redirection should not be considered in YOUR FCKING speedtest.

Shouldn't it? If thats the time users have to wait before the page is loaded after entering the url?

@MisterArie you should visit testmysite and do a test FIRST.

and get report from them and see recommendations, I bet you will cry.

Website is performing very well in every other speedtest site, the problem is testmysite uses 3G throttling AND client wants heckin 2-3 sec on testmysite and that's Impossible.

*website is loading within 2-2.5 sec.*

Current project I'm on is doing pretty good. Guess I still have to get a few seconds off.

But the 3g throttle is a bit much for such low seconds standards. If I'm ever on 3g I expect to be waiting a few seconds before the site loads

@MisterArie that's the thing but people be like you can't do that stuff - you've not enough knowledge and they wants same result like other speedtest site * max 3 sec. While using ugly and old AF themes which loads tons of js (Shh you can't modify theme)*

They don't want to listen to what the FUCK is 3g throttling.

Loading different websites for mobile is soooo 2008.

But getting below 3 seconds with that throttling is not easy. It's doable when you don't load gazillions of useless scripts and don't perform a ton of useless database queries in the background.

Maybe you could go for AMP - their main point is that they are fast because they restrict webdesigners so that they can't do a lot of slow and useless shit.

@Fast-Nop first you need to read comments, I am not allowed to modify theme in order to optimize so another version for mobile is seems good option and as I mentioned in rant testmysite counts redirection time to /amp also.

    lol, amp is joke.

    Amp's just v0.js is ~250kb.

And amp version of website takes more time than mine custom Mobile page.

Even ampproject's website takes 5s load with 3G throttling *according to testmysite result*

@canonbolt i feel AMPis overrated and now Google wants to kill URLs.

They are aiming for monopoly of public internet by tapping to the technologically illiterate user market who thinks Google search + Google Chrome is the internet.

@HoloDreamer agreed, Best thing is people thinks

    Google.com + Chrome = Internet

@canonbolt page doesn't open. Anyway, AMP technically doesn't mean that Google has to host it.

And yes, I am aware, that you can make pages even faster without AMP, but average webdesigners are not capable of doing so because they build in tons of useless shit that AMP doesn't allow.
