Add to that being a parent of small children at the same time -_-'
But I shouldn't complain, engineers' working hours in my country are much more liveable than elsewhere.

Read an article (study) just the other day that said you can already counter health probs arising due to sitting at your desk all day by getting up and walking around for just 2min straight every hour.

I don't know if that really does anything healthwise in the long run, but i like to do that anyway because it helps me focus.

@arminiae I live by that rule. I think it is important for many reasons.

I think all the negative points cited can be mitigated. You decide how you want to work.

@arminiae I have been doing a walk up to the third floor, across the building, down to the first floor, and back up to my second floor office every hour for the last couple weeks. I noticeably feel better, and I am also more aware of not eating a bunch of crap throughout the day simply because I'm thinking about "what's good for my health". It's great.

I'm 21, and I have to deal with tough deadlines with multiple projects, I have long periods of concentration which usually gets broken because somebody needs help or something is not working and I eat a lot of junk food because I have a high metabolism and I commute a lot. I also substances to deal with my stress.

Overall, it doesn't look good for me.
