What a piece of fucking shit most Google software is. Especially Android Studio and its fucking shit SDK Manager.

I just spent the last 5 fucking hours fucking around with the SDK manager because after installing all the Marshmallow, Lollipop and Nougat shit, none of it is available when trying to create a new project.

Now do I not only have to put up with fucking slow gradle builds, a slow IDE, and fucking disgusting XML syntax (xml is fine, it's android's xml that sucks) when making android apps, I also have to fucking deal with this stupid sdk bullshit too. Fuck you google get your fucking shit together you fucking idiots. Learn how to make proper software for a fucking change and stop neglecting Windows users. One day they might just end up buying an iPhone and never using any of your shit software or hardware again, to spite you, you fucking retards.

The problem is that if Android tanks, Google doesn't sink with it. If iOS tanks, Apple could go down. So, Apple spends a lot of resources to make iOS apps easy to make so that developers continue to develop for them.

    Google just doesn't care enough.

So meanwhile, over in xcode and ios “paradise”...
What do you mean I have to upgrade the OS to upgrade xcode? Oh alright ... Great my mac no longer boots... (has happened 3 times now) ... fix that ... great I’ll
let the appstore update xcode...doesn’t work....try again...doesn’t work....fine I’ll install the #^*^*%#%{}^% again. Now your certificates are out of whack...great....nowntheres random duplicate .h files in the dependencies...
...what was that about Apple caring so much about the developer experience? Yeah right

@lordfingle don't get me wrong, I dislike the macOS ecosystem very much. But when you compare developing for native Android to developing for native iOS, Android is much more confusing and obtuse. ADB breaks when you sneeze at it and the emulator is garbage compared to the iOS one. I will never buy an Apple device as I have several issues with the company including how heavy handed they are, but I must admit that I've had a lot more pains with Android studio than with XCode.

I'll defer to your experience. Both seem unnecessarily complicated and unreliable to me.
