shower thought : if i made a compiler for my own programming language and it compiles to python. would it be a python dialect or a new programming language?

    I think it wouñd be considered a transpiler, I'm not sure tho.

    New language, but other posters are correct, it wouldn’t be a compiler but rather a transpiler.

    Compiler - turn languages into machine code
    Transpiler - turn languages into other languages / representations.
