Is DDD still a thing or it is replaced by something? Any other options which are better ?

For DDD there are new books out. In my data/backend would DDD makes for a good fit and I try to use it when I can.

There is also now Value Based Design, which is similar to Emotional Design but with more math but I haven’t read to much into it.
