Sideloding Android 8 again.... forgot to save Desktop layout... fck -
donuts236726y@billgates hmm... Now after flashing stock... Seems bootloop but fastbooting recovery can decrypt the storage again...
Taking a backup before continuing.... -
donuts236726y@RantSomeWhere can you hsare the steps?
Also strange the TWRP i have in Recovery doesn't decrypt but if i load it from fastboot, it does... any idea why? -
donuts236726y@RantSomeWhere like permanent decrypt via adb?
So you run stock OOS Pie? I just got the OTA notice last night. -
Jifuna37266y@RantSomeWhere You say you decrypt your data but you actually just format it. Just found it funny
-
donuts236726y@Jifuna Android encrypted file store, just like iPhones now. If the police have your phone, they still won't be able to access the data.
I think what @RantSomeWhere is saying is to turn it off. The only way to do that is to format and disable encryption. -
donuts236726y@RantSomeWhere it seems the reason for the bootloop is TWRP has to be installed before Magisk/root or Magisk needs to be reinstalled after TWRP....
Damn I could've saves myself so much trouble if I had only tried flashing Magisk again last night... -
Jifuna37266y@billgates I know guys, I just found it funny because encrypting means getting your data back. I didn't judge you or something haha
Oh this is fun... PSA: do not upgraade to Android Pie if you want root....
Trying to recover again now that after flashing Magisk i get a boot loop....
