Got my first job last week as a junior gameplay programmer. Dream job 😁
Well, more like a dream position than the actual dream job.

Proprietary engine and a new language are kinda hard to wrap my head around, but I've been having so much fun that by the time 4 rolls around I usually don't notice it and stay for an hour or so more.

Congrats!

Wish you the best that the happy feeling won‘t fly away.
When you are sitting in long night shifts, always remember this feeling. :)

@nekody it's called Madbox, but you're probably not gonna find anything about it online since they're pretty secretive of it

Game design/development was literally the most fun I've ever had in a job. It was also the most stressful. And the most rewarding.

It also left me with the worst burnout ever -- and this is apparently very common in the industry.

Would I do it again?
Absolutely.

(Just more carefully.)
