current gen consumer cpu architecture is so 20th century. We should add a new layer which transports the datalinks between cpu and mainboard over wifi.

who needs powerjacks? we should use the wireless charging technology for all home appliances

It's easy. Apple wants to sell expensive adaptors on top of their already overpriced iShit, but people wouldn't buy adaptors if they could just use regular headphones (preferably non-Apple ones).

Since iJunkies shell out any amount of money no matter how shoddy the product, that's an easy way to make more profit.

Apply this to new laptops that use type-c for everything

@jespersh I still use the headphone jack.

I bought a phone with a headphone jack on purpose. Realized this morning, that I. Have. Never. Used. It.

    Not even once xD

Well, to be honest; 60% of OnePlus customers uses wireless headphones.

And seeing how batterytime and usage is getting more and more stable, why not go without it?

If you're a audiophile, don't listen to music from you phone.

Lets be honest about it, life is much easier with wireless headsets ..

@groenkek with castless blockchain-powered intelligent learning transport channels (good luck figuring out how it works!)

I've come to suspect that losing the headphone jack is not about technology, IP ratings or space, but rather closing out the final part of the "analogue hole".

@Bandic00t once devices only support wireless charging and esims I'll agree.

@Stocken I am audiophile, but the thing is, I just can't take my fat Canton tower boxes with me when I'm on public transport.
