Client: "The app moves slowly and has moments when it freezes! Why?"
Me: "Let me check the server...it has 5 GB of memory allocated for it and you are making it load 4.76 GB and never cleaned the log files..."
Client: "Then it should work fine! Almost 500 mb free, it`s a lot! Let the log files be there, we might need them in 5 years!"
Me: "What?..."

    @jespersh true
    @GypsyDanger why not store old logs on the hard drive?

    Then at least compress them in a gzip file.

    @rEaL-jAy some people just simply forget that ( they start writing in the parentheses and forget to close it... How you doing nowadays? I came back after a bit of time

    @gitlog
    It's a norm these days...( I heard the right parentheses left the left parentheses. Something about an illegitimate child. How true is this?

    @gitlog I do that because I got into TI-BASIC pretty heavily and it closes parentheses automatically at EOL (and, when you've got all of 20,000 bytes to split between code, vars, return addresses, screen data...) I tend to have to edit my message to fix things like an idiot. I have run out the 5-minute clock before on a few occasions...

    The devRant algo is becoming eerily good at picking my kind of rants.. just now I was frantically cursing about modern day convoluted software where everything is a feature and the obvious way to go is "move fast and break things", and then the algo recommended me this ol' rant.. not sure if I should be pleased or scared XD
