Sleep as human and wake up as a part machine. What are thoughts on human evolution and AI?

I think artificial integration is a possible thing. But technology wise we will never get there a project of that scope is out of reach of humans society nowadays and artificial intelligence isnt far off. We just need better storage media and connections and better humans

it just needs one lucky unforseen accident in a lab somewhere that opens the way for a breakthrough in computer to brain interface research. A new material or thechnique.

I give it 15 years until prosthetics are by default connected to the brain. And 25years until it will become normal that rich people will get enhancements for their bodies.

I mean it is just too tempting to have the knowledge of all mankind as part of yourselfs mind, to not persue that, isn't it?

@heyheni i agree as a child o always wanted a chip in my head that allowed for total information recall. Imagine being able to internet with just thought.

I think the question here comes about ethics. Do we need to cross that line or if we can, then why not? Should there be a limit on what we can do in feild of science?

@skprog Then it would be safe to say that making killer robots or AI is completely ok without thinking of the conquences.
