Aight i thought the java/script thing was a meme but for the past 20 minutes a dudes been looking at my js code, consistently calling it java

    Nope. Unfortunately it’s not. At a previous job a guy suggested, in a meeting, that the JavaScript errors a web app was throwing was because we had just pushed out an update the the Java JRE on the networks desktops. Also we should try to roll the version back to see if it fixed the issues. I informed everyone that would not change anything. A few people still wanted to try it just to be sure.

    Me: 🤔(Do I really want to try and remember Java?)

    Also Me: "Yeah sure"

    Client: *Shows me js file*

    *shrug* it was easy money anyway

    I got told by a recruiter that a job I was applying for would involve java and mobile app development using react native. Got to the interview and found out they build web apps, they were thinking of maybe using some react in the future, but no plans to support mobile any time soon. Fortunately that wasn't an issue, but damn that's some serious miscommunication.
