lol the UI has a new background and some color updates, but features that users requested last year and myself and my team have been working on for the past 6 months (and can generate millions of revenue for the business) get pushed back in the deployment pipeline.

these people are fucking retards.

@D-4got10-01 the irony in the matter is I suggested a long time ago we create a standardised UI component library/design system to match with the company branding and it was ignored like an old turd. and my boss was all like "i'm a data person, i don't care about look and feel that much, things just need to work!"

    I'm flabbergasted...

@jestdotty That's fine. But my philosophy is 'pretty, but useless is useless'. Which is why I prefer something working to something that's just 'pretty'.

@BordedDev Gee... might it be the 'pretty' one?

    Some people have weird priorities.

@int32 Sounds like he did a tactical 180°.

Wonder what changed his mind - the analytics data he might've seen or what...

But in the end, people want a working product, so 'pretty but broken' will piss them off.

@D-4got10-01 I mean I could build something monumentally useful and they still sell it wrong. sounds like not my problem!
