If you can reward a dozen of developers, what will you gift besides t-shirts and sweat-shirts?

    Extra paid holidays.

    Paid vacation

How come nobody has said this

    What setting and what budget?

In a work setting? Give them an extra week off, paid. Or give them a nice fat bonus.

Outside of that? Gadgets are always welcome I guess. Google homes / Amazon echos are the new fangled toys. Or hoodies if you want to go down the clothing route. Or just an Amazon voucher if you want them to choose.

@Fast-Nop and let even more holidays go to waste?

Depends on the budget, and team. But apart from the holidays suggestion, I would try to see something they actually want/need. Sometimes a simple USB is good enough for a person to feel motivated, but if you really want to make a difference, and willing to spend some money, make their laptops faster, buy a small SSD (if they don't have), a RAM stick, new mouse, something that they'll use everyday and actually improves their day.

@Codex404 why would they go to waste? Because devs are stupid enough to work until burnout and then be dumped like yesterday's newspapers?

@Fast-Nop when I take days off I get sick and my internal clock gets messed up.

@AlmondSauce @rui902 we have internal formations for developers by developers. So the formations are kind of based on the good wills of the developers.
So in order to "entice" people to share their knowledge more often, the company accepts to reward the developers who train the others. It's a one per year gift. Last year, customized t-shirts were given to them.

Our CTO said the budget is not an issue, but I assume we should not be too greedy either (something like 50 to 100€ per person is quite reasonable).

As I'm in charge of finding THE "idea", I'm cheating a bit by asking here ;)

Thank you all for your suggestions.
