When you get a job that is advertised as a software development job, but you end up doing 80% software development and 20% help desk support tickets.

Sometimes I really hate this industry. Also, what is it with people assuming software developers can just wave a fucking wand and make shit work? FUARKKKKKK!

Free overtime when we're deploying too, fuck yes! I love free overtime!

    80/20 doesn't sound like a dreadful split, some Devs end up spending a lot more time on support, it can have value for Devs to see the issues users are having.
    The problem with unrealistic expectations is, 95% of the time we somehow pull off the impossible requests...
    Yeah, out of hours deployments for free sounds shitty, you don't even get to take the time back by leaving early it starting late another day?! That's a pretty standard way of handling it.
