Here I am just realizing the reason the author of a rant isn't shown directly in the feed is probably to avoid influencing votes. That makes sense now.

I have never ++'d a rant without seeing the whole thing (entering the rant? How do you phrase what I want to say? Fuck).

@telephantasm I mean, obviously you can see "who" by opening, and there are longer rants than will display fully in the feed, so maybe this is a bit of a miss... :/

I dunno. I thought at first maybe it was just a smart way to reduce voter bias.
