I decided to buy a rack + PC case and a new HDD. Since I wasn't expecting to need to change the HDD for years, I put it on the mount that has the screws in an annoying place. Guess which drive is dead on arrival -_- I'll have to remove the whole box from the rack I think to get to it

I'm happy with the new setup when it's running, but the constant issues are annoying (mainly pains of fresh linux setup or having to wait on parts and things to arrive on time)

Talk about annoying design, but perhaps it's there to keep things at a stationary place, of course.

@CaptainRant, yeah essentially the HDD holder is screwed into the chassis from the outside with 4 screws, and in tern the HDD is screwed in with 4 screws. So I need to unscrew the HDD holder first, and remove it then I can unscrew the HDD. But to get to the holder I think I need to remove the rails which mean I need to lug the whole PC out of the rack, and I had just removed the box it was resting on while I was working on it

I'm mainly on Linux now, yes some things can be painful, but you type a lot in this platform which is good.

@BordedDev This is not new to me. I did that stuff in college with CISCO pizza boxes. lmao

@CaptainRant Hahaha, it's just "frustrating" these last 2 weeks because I need to focus on getting ready for my new job XD
