Depends. There's definitely some truth to that. Technically, we'd all die by 30 in the older days. Thing is, you have some animals that, in the case of teeth, have the ability to regrow them. IIRC the crocodiles, probably sharks, too.

There are these examples of better solutions in specific areas across the species, so you know... the nature did fuck us.

Humans just started fighting back on some of the fronts, though.
