@NoMad if you're talking of deepin os and have used the app store to install the telegram app, its outdated. If on Arch Linux, I haven't found any issues personally yet.
-
@NoMad the aur package i installed was telegram-desktop. I saw there were different flavours available but the snap package has the same name

@agnibha i dont have confidentiality data... And besides its just the de. Their source code is open source. I don't personally demand greater transparency. ;)

agnibha15536y@saurabh000345 its pretty hard to do anything on an environment where you are continuously being monitored... I know we live in a day where google and Facebook knows a lot about me... But then... I used to like deepin very much but the day I got to know about their spyware it was all done...

Vaypron4176y@agnibha You mean the analytics that the Deepin store sent? If so, they were removed a while ago.
Or are there any other privacy breaches you are aware of? -
@Vaypron Besides the source code is available on the web... Many people have made analytics. The spyware term is more of a YouTube myth now.
-
Vaypron4176y@saurabh000345 I know.
I'm using Deepin DE and Deepin OS for a while now and I was aware of the analytics, but they didn't bother me much.
Still, I'm interested if there are any other sources with which he can proof his accusations :)
My Deepin DE on Arch... I am working on i3wm with a polybar or a conky... Will post it if and when its done... Running on a busy schedule nowadays
