Professor: Wait a second.

In the mean time my HP laptop that was from 2006, and this story happen 2 years ago, overheated and shutdown. Remember that i was coding in it.

Professor: Ok let's see the code.

Me: I can't show the code now since my pc overheated and shutdown, and now i have to wait him to cooldown to turn it off.

Professor: Your laptop remember when i was a kid and we had thoose old TV where we had to wait for it to heat before we could see any image.

Same problem with my friends HP laptop. Made me stay away from HPs and it seems to have been the right decision. No problems with my ThinkPad so far (3 years).

Thought the same, but short on money and needed a laptop, got an HP EliteBook 8470p for ~$140USD, add to that an SSD and +4GB of RAM, I have a good machine with 8GB RAM, decent CPU and the most important, no overheating issues so far!
