Even with how little I've used it since I've owned one I would say it was still worth it, it's not all that expensive and is a really intriguing piece of hardware. -

@fatlard1993 they're only really useful in close proximity so I use it for little projects around the house like gesture light switch colours etc. But at he moment using it for a 3D modelled book

@Abyss03 I wouldn't buy one unless I had a very exact use case, the range of detection is only really reliable at 30cm so use at risk

@Abyss03 although I would say they are very interesting especially if you haven't done any image manipulation or tracking before. IR cameras are really fun to look at too! Things always look strange
