which linux destro i should try ....Except ubuntu!!!!!

    Why not Ubuntu? Anyway, I like CentOS, because it is the closest to what most major Enterprises use, so familiarity with it helps in the work place. Bonus is that it installs with little to no effort, and had drivers for nVidia graphics cards and AMD APUs.

    Arch, for pedagogical purposes. Configuring my personal Arch distro has taught me so much about Linux

    @SpiDee Figure it out yourself. Experiment. One cannot tell you which Linux distro to use. You will know it's the one once you use it.

    Manjaro is pretty hot. I'd take the i3 or deepin edition.

    Manjaro, they have extensible collection of DEs with nice pre-installed themes

    @Tayo No worries, there is never too many "i use arch btw". You can even revive a post after 7 years for that.

    Debian for servers and Fedora / OpenSuSe / Mint for desktop.

    If you want to go all the way, try BSD, e.g. OpenBSD :D
