Hey guys, I have a question about power.
I converted a 400w power suply into a power suply for my projects.
With more than 10amps per wire can I use the 5 volts to power stuff like my phone or Will it burn?
Also it gives 5.3v is that a problem?

PC PSUs usually don't like to be operated without load. Depending on the PSU model, it might even take damage. Charging a phone probably can't be considered as load.

5.3 V is without load I assume, so that would go down if the PSU were operating under load in its intended usage scenario inside a PC.

From the phone point of view, the 5 V of USB are to be understood +/-5%, i.e. up to 5.25 V, so the phone must be able to cope with that. 5.3 V is already outside, strictly seen.

Well, still good for my adapted 12V vacuum cleaner lol :D
