Looking for a Framework or language that has:
- multi-platform (Windows + Android minimum)
- Easy to design GUI
- Can use file databases like SQLite
- Can use serial, BT, Wi-Fi to send-receive data.
I already used Python + Kivy but I think there must be easier frameworks for this...22
Cnc v0.5 done.
Still needs a few fixes but I can engrave my DevRant Hello World.
Needs a bigger table (and Visor), new spindle (fried the one I bough, using a very old scarvanged for now)

3 days on the job...
Told on the interview I didn't know the machine OS but I could learn in a few days...
Well they want someone with experience on that machines I don't know...
There are more companies15
Today was my first day in a Molding Company (CNC operator)... IT was fine, I barely could hold on physically but I did it :D In less than two weeks I'll be operating my 3 new machines like a PRO.
But that's not the full story... I came home, my dad calls me, and has a mold drawn on paper (2D) for me to model in 3D and print... lol.
I'm proud, not just because I got a new job at first try, now just because my dad asks me to build stuff, but Also because my dad is a DIY guy with lotssss of experience... And now he's the one asking for help, opinions, how to do something...2
Have a problem with my custom made desktop.
On games, after 5, 10, 20 minutes the PC freezes and I have to restart.
It's not the graphics card, but I think the CPU is overheating.
It's a new i5 8gen Hexacore, shouldn't be overheating.
Any tools I could use to diagnose what is happening?
Hey guys, sorry for disappearing... I haven't been in my good days lately.
Other than that... two days ago I said fuck you to my burn out, got tired of doing nothing and start job hunting.
Yesterday I've sent 3 e-mails.
Today I got phone calls for 2 Interviews.
That's the good part of being good at a specialized job :D2
#arduino #led matrix
So, this is my first led matrix using a 74hc595n, I did all the connections right, isolated the cathodes (-), and when I tested, I only connected one cathode (to test one row, when almost all the lights turned on, in all rows doing a chacing... So I disconnected the negative wire and it still works.
One led in the arduino blinks (L).
GND is only connected to the shift register
All the rows light up doing a colum chase when there is no negative.
#eletrónics, #power suply
Hey guys, I have a question about power.
I converted a 400w power suply into a power suply for my projects.
With more than 10amps per wire can I use the 5 volts to power stuff like my phone or Will it burn?
Also it gives 5.3v is that a problem?3
So... At this time we think that everything is already invented...
And I keep making new stuff...
New Idea, mini vacuum cleaner... only found one design online and was so badly done... So I made mine.
Happens all the time... Search, nothing I like, do it myself. And worst, I'm not even good at CAD programs lol.
Any Ideas for tools to make?4
So, I have a new printer for parts.
Question, what type of glass does scanner uses? Does it have some special treatment or is it normal glass? Thanks8
Trying to create something, after 2 months without any energy...
A simple project, a Joule thief...
damn fucking thing isn't working BAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I would like to share a video clip with you guys, about the burning of one of the biggest Portuguese forests with 800 years old.
It's mostly in Portuguese and sign language but the images speak all.
I prefer the first video:
sudo apt-get update year
Appy new year guys.
I know I've been away but I will be back when I get better.5
what do you guys use to control your DIY CNCs?
I'm using UGS, Universal Gcode Platform, but it has a slight problem... doesn't work with functions.
Meaning, I just had to write a 75 lines program that could be an 8 line program If I could use loops and GOTO...
Also, what CAM software do you use?15
Do you remember the formation I was going to take? Eletrónics, robotics and computers... It has been delayed again because there isn't enough people....
No one wants a job in the area where the future lies... Stupid, stupid people.
Thanks guys for the help in the last weeks.
This is what I was so hard trying to print.
Btw... reminder to self, plastic expands. That's why the stepper has duck tape instead of screws lol33
Create my own company with the stuff I'm learning....
Been lacking that a lot , and with all the medication....
Else I would be dropping like one app a week, have my webportal already built, a few CNCs already producing pieces to sell...
Hey guys, continuing the yesterday's topic...
This is the result of all I learned and tested yesterday.
Problem: new black filament from China.
Result, piece is bent and cracked.
Brim: fucking 25 mm
Inicial speed 20 mm/s
Adesion: glue stick + airspray + permanent glue spray
And the pieces still fucking bend in the table contact side.
Top is perfect except for some cracks, but the bellow side is just pressed to itself and bends, warping the piece.
What could I change now? What could be the problem and reason for this? Worked perfectly with the first white filament.31
Pieces won't fucking stick.
Hey 3D guys. So... I changed to my second fillament rool, from white to black PLA.
The white worked perfectly, but I'm having lots of problems with the black. It just doesn't stick right on the table and than drags strings , with ends up fucking the piece.
I was printing at 200C, now upped to 220C and it just seams to cool to fast or something...
Cleaned the table, leveled like 30 times so far, using lots of airspray...
Do I need to up the heat more? Or may I already givint to much?
the fillament says from 220C to 260C, but I'm afraid the 3D printer can't handle arround 250C38
