Yes, I wrote that. It pisses me off that every single npp update disables a plugin that I use often. So every time I have to go to the installation folder, and manually re-enable it.
-
@bkwilliams Wow so its not even the latest? This was an automatic update, I was actually interrupted by the update popup. Thought it would be easier to get it done now rather than dealing with the annoying popup the next time I launch the program.
-
Curious to know what plugin you use and why are you using notepad++
Not judging at all. Just haven't heard of many people still using this editor. -
-
@AleCx04 I was talking about a plugin called HexEditor. I know that there are better dedicated hex edit programs, but I find it useful being able to switch between text and hex view with one click.
I use npp because it is really fast (faster than atom and sublime) and it has a ton of useful funtionality. I don't know of any other program that is better than npp. -
Try Visual Studio Code, despite the name it's actually a fast, customisable, cross platform and has heaps of great extensions.
-
Bubbles68266y@SparkyTD its definitely faster being programmed in C++ rather than Python (sublime) and Electron (literally every other fucking text editor)
-
@SparkyTD You must be my (evil) twin brother!!
I still use npp for script languages, (to do)notes & some extensions.. hexEditor being one of them, so I know where the lucky 13) is comming from 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😇 -
Parzi88336y@AleCx04 it's actually symlinked over stock notepad on my Windows desktop, mainly as it doesn't hang on loading anything over like 4KB
-
@Devnergy I have VS code but npp is faster and I only use it for taking notes and quickly opening source files.
