    Fucking hell. I would’ve taken a couple of days off and even driven over to Belgium, yet here I am, laying in bed with a ruptured ligament... fuck me.

    Forgot to say though, have fun!

    It was awesome! No selfies were taken but there were some interesting things.. like this Raspberry Pi with some strange WiFi HAT or something πŸ€” no idea what exactly it is but it really intrigued me πŸ˜‹

    Edit: ... Oh wait-.. LoRa! So that's why they didn't just use the internal WiFi adapter instead!

    @CozyPlanes yep, OnePlus 6T to be exact :3 granted, I've enabled the watermark mostly to have my name on it though. Hopefully that makes it at least a little bit harder for people to snatch away, without that stupid Article 13 πŸ€”

    @Condor hackerman skills 101

    And i really what to get oneplus but i still like s8

    Is there waterproof Btw ?
  • 2
    @CozyPlanes I'm kinda betting on that it costs actual effort to edit it out πŸ˜› if there's anything that freebooters tend to miss, it's that πŸ˜‚ because creating original content over ^C ^V is so much work!!!

    @Condor is there waterproof in 1+?
  • 3
    @CozyPlanes as far as I know there isn't. The SIM tray does have one of those o-rings around it though, which are often used to increase water resistance... And the phone should be able to handle a few drops.. by no means waterproof of course but meh. I've used the phone a few times at FOSDEM when it was raining all day, and both my N6P and OP6T are still operational πŸ™‚

    From an electronics standpoint, water is mainly undesirable because it's a relatively decent conductor (i.e. significant risk of shorts between tracks that run close to each other - usually <1mm, as well as contact corrosion which decreases conductivity of the contact pads that serve as an interface between the IC's and the PCB. Those sensitive components are generally tucked away somewhere in the middle of the phone's internals though. In the Nexus 6P at least they are, especially the battery, while the SoC is closer to the top of the phone. I haven't opened up my OnePlus 6T yet though, so not sure how the layout is in that one. There is an iFixit teardown video on it though!

    @Condor wow what an explanation
    No water resistance proven from the company then no for me
    I need to watch youtube videos in the shower
