Sometimes you get so depressed and pessimistic that nothing anyone says or does will really make you feel better. The best thing to do is to find a goal and work towards it. You'll still know in the back of your head that everything you do won't matter at all when the universe dies its final heat death, but you'll stay preoccupied enough, long enough, that you forget to care about it until you're in your grave.

@svgPhoenix what is the point of doing anything if everything is gonna die anyway

    @SukMikeHok

The point of live is living.

Depression is the kick in the groin that reminds you that live ain't no fun all the time.

Live ain't fair. Live ain't easy.

Remember the good. Remember the bad.

@IntrusionCM why remember the bad what good does that do

It assures that you appreciate the good things.

@AleCx04 depression is not attention seeking. You should be ashamed of yourself for insulting people when they already hurt. Instagramming your food, that's attention seeking.

Everyone is important, you should know.
Also thanks for reaching out to community when you need it.

Loneliness is a real thing, and it does contribute to depression. We think, we live, we breathe, and we exist to help each other through our incredibly short lives on this little mud-ball called Earth. If you feel lonely and not sure of your worth, find a soup kitchen or a food pantry where you can volunteer and bring a small bit of happiness into someone else's life. It works.

You’re not alone, you exist, and you matter.

So, here's the thing. This might sound a bit rough, but I have to be honest. You say you're depressed and rant about ending life. Yet, you're still here. So in the back of your mind you have some hope that there will be a beautiful surprise waiting for you.

And there is! But first, let's get down into what being depressed or as I like to say 'deep-rest' really means. It means that you're taking this life and your personality/ego way too seriously. You need a deep-rest from the character you've been playing. You've identified too much with this particular being locked in a bag of skin. Now, the truth is you are NOT a seperate being locked in a bag of skin. This feeling of being locked in a bag of skin, is according to Buddhist and Hindu philosophy a hallucination.

What you really are is an expression of the whole universe!

You can deny your true nature, for as long as you like. Just know that it is a game.

If any of this resonates with you I'd suggest you to listen to Alan Watts.

Dude, this isn't a joke and I'm okay with saying this because we're all anonymous here.

Consider seeing a psychiatrist and going on some medication. No one likes to hear that. But sometimes the part of us that experiences normal happiness just doesn't work because our chemicals aren't firing the right way.

Think of it like a pianist who can't play because of arthritis. Then he takes some pills and he can play again. The pills didn't change him or give him his abilities. They just removed an obstacle.

Seriously, try it. Maybe nothing happens. Or maybe it blows some fog away and you enter into a new phase in your life that you wouldn't have imagined was possible. I speak from experience and I'm not exaggerating.
