@M1sf3t it's actually seriously good for static blogs and simple static sites.
The problem is when those sites don't really stay simple. -
@M1sf3t the point of premade content builders is to build something quick and dirty that looks and works decent, but in their own way. Customizabillity is always an issue, yeah.
Oh, I don't post much to my blog either, I have a ton of unfinished articles. For me the thing is when I'm writing a post I just want to write a post and want everything else done with the absolute minimum hassle. In WP they have a decent online word processor that publishes your post directly so I use that to write stuff too.
I could also use a static site generator like Jekyll but eh, why bother. -
@RememberMe only that such sites are even better without ANY online CMS. Faster, cheaper to host, a lot less attack surface, a lot less update and breakage hassle.

@M1sf3t @Fast-Nop I get that, and I'd like to switch to a simple hosted site when I get the time and energy, but for now it's one of those free blog sites hosted by WordPress itself, so I don't have to concern myself with maintenance or breaking anything. I literally just write and this was by far the simplest and least time consuming solution because I have no energy for anything more right now. And tbh it's fast enough for displaying text and a few images, which is literally all it has to do.
I'm planning to make a simple static site for myself, when I do that I'll probably migrate the blog there as simple static files. But that's an extremely low-priority project.
