I have a lab at uni where my lab group have to refactor some code from an open source project. We got assigned some Apache project and jfc that code is a mess. Little to no documentation, hard to navigate, tests that you have no idea what it's testing, and so on. On top of that the teacher expects us to spend more time than we have on it. I'll be glad when this course is over :))

That's the best practice to learn many things, including how to avoid writing code like that 😆
    Also welcome to devRant!

Welcome to lesson 1, insights to how the dev world really works.

That actually sounds like a pretty good assignment for students. Gives you some real life project experience. Much better than my assignments.

@nathanasius The idea of the assignment is good, but it's sadly not executed very well

Sounds like the code you’ll be writing in a few years in the real world with unreasonable timeframes from bosses and sales people haha.
