Trying to justify buying another SSD because I still have a free M.2 slot in my computer 😅

2 is already plenty for me

Dude save your money, don't waste it on useless stuff... If you don't need the space then don't buy an SSD.

    Way too overkill.

    Someone has cash to burn

I bought M.2 SSD when I was building my new PC but...yeah maybe for OS it is a little bit faster (like 0.5s on startup) but otherwise it is a total waste of money. Just buy a normal one.

@lamka02sk I already used up the standard 2.5" slots, the only one remaining is the M.2 and it's not a PCI-E but a SATA port, so there wouldn't be a big performance difference anyways. I'm just thinking about making a dual boot setup so I can separate my work/school&home environments in case I took a remote job I got offered. I could just create a different partition for it but then I might miss that space for my other stuff (I have a 1TB drive purely for games 😅)

I do realise though what the rational choice is (not getting one) but we all know that a shiny new hardware component makes anyone happy:)

@githapppens a shiny new component that will do major improvement, for example upgrading from HDD to SSD, or switching from an average performance computer to a high end one. Not to be rude getting an ssd when your system already runs two, is just increasing numbers not adding value

Please note the joke/meme tag before you all bring out the pitchforks! It was a joke, don't take it too seriously 😅

@githapppens You ruined my "Being wise" moment -_- :P

I did add ram to pc even though i didn’t need it.
Ssd is even more useless when you don’t need it
