This comic strip is a rerun and was published first time in 2008, when internet data collection was starting to get attention. And where are we today, eleven years later...?

Look up the book "Privacy for Sale." It's old, came out before the widespread consumer internet, and makes internet data collection not seem so bad through sheer scale of what was going on elsewhere. Lack of privacy is not new. Big data is not new. It's just gotten easy enough that it can't hide anymore.
