So apparently not a bad idea to clean up your folders every once in a while. Just cleaned about 120GB, mostly by deleting things from my downloads folder

    Download folders are are the black holes of the IT. Therefore I exclude my download folder from the daily backup since a while

    /tmp
    or for large downloads
    /<somepermanentlocation>/tmp
    with periodic deletion of old stuff.

    @filthyranter perhaps I'll do that, once I get better at moving stuff out of my downloads folder. Right now I may actually have a few important things in that folder, for months at a time
