any good future-proof VPN services you guys can recommend which are fast, reliable, take privacy serious, come with a linux client (CLI perfectly fine) and allow for conveniently faking geolocation?

Mullvad! They already have started with wireguard servers and literally don't require any personal information.

@irene that depends on the context, are we talking about 5 minutes into the future or 5000 years?

@irene OP asked for good VPN recommendations so I recommended Mullvad! (Https://mullvad.net)

What do you means as for what I'm talking about?

@irene I was saying that mullvad already has a few wireguard servers (wireguard is a better VPN 'protocol' than openvpn but is very new) (https://mullvad.net/en/guides/...)

As for not requiring data, you get an account number and that's it. No email or whatsoever required, you can even send them cash as payment :)

OpenVPN + a VPS hosted on a cloud provider of your choosing, in whichever region you prefer, with OpenVPN-server installed on it.
Aruba and Hetzner have some solid offerings for very low prices and large traffic allowances, while AWS/Azure/GCP typically offer free tier/free credits for an extended period of time (though the free traffic allowance is pretty low, so you may have to pay the extras)

@Lucky-Loek @linuxxx I will definitely have a look into mullvad, too! Thank you :)

In the end I’m going to compare protonVPN to mullvad and choose one of those I guess. Thank you for your opinions!
