I never understood the appeal of JS Frameworks. I mean sure, they are nice and it makes your code a lot cleaner, but I do not want to trade any flexibility when working on a JS backend application.

So far every framework that I have tried has been massively restrictive when stepping out of the normative use cases, especially when working with relational or in-memory databases.
