Assuming that zombies actually do decompose, sooner rather than later you'll have a really small world population so it's like a restart for the human race.

@metamourge it would be rather easy to find someplace safe, gather enough supplies and entertainment for a couple of months and stay in place until they either can't move or move extremely slowly due to dehydration or something.
