Recently I've installed Tinder. Had my first match yesterday.

Me: "I see you're a product manager in a software company. Do you get along well with programmers? :)"

No reply. Unmatches. 😶

    Unless you're a girl tinder is useless)
  • 5
    @irene not really. I've seen few men be successful. Of course, they bought a lot of stuff like boosts, superlikes to make it happen
  • 2
    @asgs very few and for a great loss.
  • 3
    @irene I suppose. I thought of giving it a try anyway. I went out a lot lately and I sometimes check out Tinder when I stay at home. Also, I think people on Tinder aren't the same kind you'd meet when going out. I think...
  • 19
    @FunkDelegate yeah, you don't see bots that often while going out 😏
  • 7
    @asgs I really don't feel like paying 40€ a month for that. Are they out of their minds?
  • 14
    @irene @asgs Tinder is pretty shallow and there are far more physically attractive (based on general beauty standards) women than men. Pussies rain on the small percentage of handsome men. Women, on the other hand, have makeup and shit to improve their looks on such sites.

    I actually know a few men who couldn't fit their schedules with several dates. Some have the horrible experience of a woman "faking" their pregnancies for a second date. 😂😂😂
  • 5
    @irene lol. You do. But they charge 60€ an hour 😁
    Edit: they're called sexbots
  • 2
    @FunkDelegate Try OkCupid if you're serious.
  • 1
    @rutee07 how is OkCupid different?
  • 1
    @rutee07 if only I was that handsome 😞
  • 4
    @irene Don't be like that! Show me your COCK!!! 😬😬😬
  • 3
    @rutee07 if only more girls were like you 🤣
  • 2
    @rutee07 I will. I mean check out OkCupid 😊
  • 7
    @asgs The people there actually read your profile and looking for connections. There are still some who only want to fuck though. A few months ago, I was listening to this podcast and a woman said "I don't like Tinder. I can't find a face attractive. I actually have to read something about you before I decide that I like you."

    She said she prefer OkCupid because of that. Seriously, Tinder destroys a lot of self-esteem for most people. People there don't really care what you do. There are exceptions of course.
  • 4
    @irene Seriously, people are the same bags of flesh that will soon be consumed by maggots. So why don't we skip to the dick pic before the meat rots? 😂
  • 4
    @rutee07 becuz culture 🤷
    I don't get it. I don't really want to get it.
  • 1
    @rutee07 maybe I'm just that unattractive 😞
  • 3
    @irene I get it. You a cute panda bear. 🐼
  • 2
    @rutee07 yes, i'm a panda with dark spots under my eyes =__=
  • 2
    @irene A cute panda. 🍑

    I become every day happier that I was born at a time where this was the smartest phone.
  • 0
    @rutee07 you're the only one who thinks i'm cute, my dear 😘
  • 2
    @JackToolsNet Life must have been much simpler. No anxiety over social media and stuff.
  • 4
    @olback not really. There was a social media such as school and outside world full of violent kids.
  • 2
    Well, the good side was you could be in a bar without being called by your gf or your mom 8)
  • 3
    @JackToolsNet

    This was my smart phone as a kid:

    My dad wired it into my bedroom so I could call my parents. :-)

    You can see why I become spoilt to the idea that most things are possible with knowledge and work !

    I'm on paid Tinder, for all practical purposes, it makes no difference !

    The experience has provided me with more data, but it only goes to help prove my theory that I'm not going to get a relationship until I've got a yearly disposable income (Waits to be shot by firing squad..) of at least $3,500 USD.

    The paid experience is around $150 a year, so plumbed for a year to test it out. (It's not really possible to test it out much for free..)

    Been using it 3 months, no dates, only one conversation which ended after the woman determined I lived on the next island to her..

    OkCupid, on that too, but nearest match is 500+ miles away, so they must have a much smaller database..

    I'm on every practical large and small dating site, no relationship for last 7+ years since my disposable income shrunk.

    I estimate 4 years before it returns.

    When I will be magically attractive enough !

    Tinder at least shows me I get more interest with better pictures.

    @Nanos

    In case anyone is wondering, what is a better picture:

    I posed, with my designer leather jacket, designer watch, designer shirt, designer jeans, designer shoes. (A mix of new and second hand items, cost $1,000 RRP $2,000)

    This got me roughly twice as many profile views as previous pictures which didn't have any designer stuff in them.

    Hasn't increased chat rate, but has increased 'like' rate.

    Hasn't increased date rate. (Had around 20 dates in the last 7 years, none of which really turned into a relationship.)

    @JackToolsNet no lock? So anyone could call any time? Hahahahaha

    Actually, it was a pulse phone, we could use it even with it locked.
  • 2
    @brunofontes yes no lock. And my brain was full with phone numbers....

    welp I'm dating a girl I met in facebook dating app, we are like two months on it, it's been a blast.

    facebook dating app is quite good and does not have its share of freemium features. but then again I don't know is the app has been launched worldwide yet

    @rutee07
    I've taken this screenshot while choosing the languages I speak. Apparently there fond of C++ at OkCupid 😊
  • 2
    @FunkDelegate Good luck, man! I met a few developers there too.
  • 1
    @rutee07 thx mate! I already saw a couple of likes, but I have no access to them. Pricing is reasonable though: 10€ for 6 months. Quite a difference to 240€ ...
    Developers? That's interesting.
  • 1
    @FunkDelegate I just saw this and thought you might find it funny. :D

  • 1
    @rutee07 I do! I had a good laugh 😁
    I was mistaken with the pricing btw. It's 10$/month for 6 months.
  • 3
    This rant and comments got me in tears. 😂😂
  • 3
    @suprano good for you! I'm having a great time as well. Swiping people in the face is awesome 😁
  • 2
    @rutee07

    Reminds me of the first time I went to a nightclub..

    I walk up to a woman I fancy (Not a 10..) and ask her to dance.

    She laughs at me.

    Not just any ordinary laugh oh no, but a full on hearty laugh so loud and carrying that the entire nightclub comes to a standstill for about 30 seconds, and everyone, and I mean, everyone looks at me !

    Yeah I mean, what is the worst that could happen asking a stranger in person..

    Lucky for me, I'm built of strong stuff, but lets say, that did me no favours in trying to hold onto my confidence !
  • 1
    @rutee07

    Some websites do kinda let you know when people have swiped over your picture/profile.

    In one, I must be approaching half a million..
  • 1
    @Nanos Wow. At least she's not a 10. 😉

    And what sadistic site is this? That sounds awful. But I guess in some websites, you can subtract the amount of likes from the amount of views and you know who opted to ignore you.
  • 1
    @rutee07

    Plenty Of Fish.

    I have noticed since I improved my picture, my likes so to speak have been going up.

    They just unmatch me so to speak once they read my profile about having no disposable income !
  • 1
    @Nanos Man, that sounds so sad. Consider FilipinoCupid if you like Asians. The women are nicer.
  • 1
    @rutee07

    Thanks.

    I did join a Chinese one ages ago.

    No dates mind you !

    I did meet a nice South African once. :-)

    @rutee07

    Life has taught me that friends is everything, they are the folk you connect with on some level.

    Relationships, for the most part you are just like a new toaster, and as easily disposable.

    No one really cares about what a toaster thinks, or its aspirations, its fears, its loves, its hates.

    @Nanos It's true. I haven't been in a romantic relationship for four years and I don't see myself doing it in the future. Friendship is deeper. I see people get into girlfriend/boyfriend relationships all the time and they choose their partners based on looks and wealth. I also experienced more loyalty from friends than I've ever experience with other types of relationships including relatives.

    I guess we have to start this.

    I already had the idea
