I have a xiaomi mi band for like 20$. Has notification alert, step count, alarm. The battery lasts 3-ish weeks. Best 20$ ive ever spent.
-
@dudeking im gonna say that if it plays music, 50$ is a sweet spot, but thats the only extra feature id want
-
mindev5366yAs a smartwatch owner, I say either buy a normal watch or a band like Xiaomi Mi Band. From experience I can say that most of the time you will still take out your phone.

Kimmax109876yFossil Q here. It's practical for skipping music on packed public transportation and to get a sneak peak on messages - other than that it's mostly cool to have.
If you have the money go for it. If not, safe it for something else you'd like -
idchlife1596yThe best price - value - Amazfit Bip.
Battery life can be up to 1 month.
Notifications with text. Ability to tap "ignore" for call. History of notifications.
Heartrate.
Sleep analysis via apps.
Smart alarm.
Did I mention it costs 65$? -
gnog3166yI was looking for something more minimal watch like, but still with a good looking screen.
I really like the Galaxy Watch, but even the 41mm one was too big for my 150mm wrist.
I tried the Mi Band some times, but didn't really like the style. I'm thinking about the Fossil (Sport), as mentioned by @Kimmax. Really liking its style and functionality.
I think would be useful to control my Spotify, pay w/ NFC, read and respond (I think) to notifs, etc. -
VaderNT16176yPebble Time Steel owner here. Worth it. "Is this notification important?" answered by a simple look at my wrist, with the option to use customizable quick replies.
Tea timer and music player controls are my second most used functions.
Battery life of almost two weeks with an always on display. I would *never* be comfortable with charging every night or not being able to read the time at a glance.
I'm still angry with Fuckbit buying Pebble and then killing it. Well Fuckbit watches look like ass anyway so I'm not their target audience. -
Kimmax109876y@gnog I love the style of the Q series, it basically looks like a thick 'normal' watch. Big selling point right there for me
-
vgpranav1206yIf u plan to use a smartwatch just to pick up calls and read notifications then its not worth.. But (assuming it has fitness stuff) if you use it to track ur fitness goals and to train yourself then its makes more sense. Something like an amazfit is more value for money

Question for the ones who use a smartwatch: do you think the price (e.g.: 250€) is worth it?
I really like the idea of the facility of not having to pick the phone for some things, but I don't know if it is really that useful. What do you think?
