@Admin-who ISE's base version is free btw. Unless you need to use Platform Studio or Chipscope or fancy stuff which honestly are only needed at large scale, you can just get it yourself (also true of Altera Quartus). You may need to noodle around a bit the the DLLs because it's a dinosaur, but it works just fine, used it on Win 10 quite a bit in college.

@RememberMe due to it being a dinosaur, and due to my colleagues being absolute imbeciles, the professor Required that we all run the simulation in front of him in order for all of to be "on fair ground". I really hate people when they think and behave like that.

I GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE TODAY WITH MY DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE!

A professor asked me to design a processor and I'll get a bonus. I said okay cool nothing hard.
oh but it has to be in verilog.
okay cool.
oh and it has to be on this fucking ancient useless piece of shit called xilinx that the fucking college provides to you only via a fucking 50 gigabyte virtual machine.
sigh. okay..... challenge accepted.
It fucking crashes every 2 minuites. And after 3 days of no sleep. I finally finished the Alu, Control unit, 4k memory, 8 registers and the busses.......... BUT THEN THE ENTIRE VIRTUAL MACHINE CRASHED AND LOST ALL PROGRESS...... fml.
and the professor only gave me the bonus for the Alu. sigh. fuck college.
