I know I think and say this way more than I should, but.....

    In what way?

@ZioCain less people, more resources, more value for life. Remove 50% people without any bias, pure balance..

@LOLjustCoding the research doesn't support that on a number of levels. Let's just explore 1 of them.

The current population of the Earth is roughly 7.3B people. Half of that is 3.65B.

How long ago do you think it was that the population of the Earth was last at 3.65B? The year was 1970. 50 years ago.

Even if it took twice that time to recover, the population of the Earth would still be back to 7.3B in just 100 years. Hardly seems like a permanent solution.

@PaladinRevenant put the snap in a cronjob, problem solved

@alexbrooklyn 😂 solving my problems like "click click click"

@LOLjustCoding I'd love to have less people, but theoretically, you can just double the resources and you have the same exact ratio, without anyone dying
Also, he said he wanted to cut half of the population like "half of lives", but plants are lives as well, and therefore half of our resources would die as well.

Also having universe population might not even affect earth or it might affect it so hard that no more humans are left

Current best guess on the number of habitable planets in the universe is 50 sextillion, even if a small percentage actually have life, it suggests the total population of the earth is a minute proportion of the total life in the universe.

Halving the total life and seeing half the earth's population disappear is a bit like halving the grains of sand on the earth and expecting half of miami beach to disappear

@ZioCain damn.. Didn't think of that.

Sure, you have half the people using resources but you also have half the people harvesting/creating, so I'm not convinced anything other than traffic would be better.

    Better solution!
Castrate all the stupids. This would improve the intelligence of future generations, and would lower future population growth because the unintelligent statistically have many more children.

@Root how to determine who is stupid and who is not though?
