Finally leaving a job that I've been working at. All we did was maintain a codebase that was originally built as a prototype by an intern, with no hopes of getting a green light on refactoring or rewriting. So glad I'm no longer part of that mess. Don't know why I'm writing this but it's just like a weight has lifted off my shoulders.

Welcome to devRant. You’re not alone in that. My first sysadmin job was the equivalent. We had a nasty mess of Windows 2008 servers, multiple versions and types of Linux installed, an AWS account with developers spinning up full VMs whenever they wanted for testing etc and then just leaving them there. I was so excited to leave that job, it was crazy.
