Why do I always work on a project intensively for 2 days, don't touch it for a week or two for reason X and then don't dare to touch it anymore.

I asumming its a personal project.
I can also relate....
My best projects was completed because it was scratching a personal "itch"..
For me it's cutting down working time...automate stuff...
I can work 2 weeks on some things that eventually will shave a minute ....
(30 times a day)...

@dotneterror try using time constraints... But it must be a very strong commitment to yourself.
Do something that exite you.. And don't give up until it's perfect.
Regarding time constraints. You will have to break down the work for peices. Give it time to be done and try hard to meet it. If getting stuck use a freind to help.... Passion is contagious..
Sometime even while asking the question you will come up with answer...
