So many steps and guilt to close accounts these days....

Even had to Google how to close it ... It's not in account settings...

I had a similar moment when I wanted to close my Instagram account the other day. I couldn't do it from my phone, had to use a real browser. Even when I tried to do it from the phone browser it just opened the app for me and told me to go fuck myself. I hate that companies think it's ok to make people's lives son difficult when you don't want to use their stupid services anymore.

@Elyz Switch the browser to desktop mode? That's actually what I ended up doing so it doesn't load/redirect the mobile site ( just changes the user-agent header it sends to the sites I think)

@billgates oh thanks, I'll have to look into how to do that, didn't think I could. Fixed the problem with a pc but it annoyed me at the time.

@Elyz usually in the menu. As long as the url isn't too some mobile specific site, it will then reload the desktop version.

Deleting my Facebook account was a hassle, they try to make it as difficult as possible. The parasite will fight to keep its host.

@NOPSledRider I still have FB, I use it for some groups and for mobile game logins or some site that demands an account to access the contents...

But I don't use Messenger and use an unofficial web wrapper client on my phone, notifications off (I think that's the big thing).
