lxmcf204105y@rendezvous Feels man, I'm practically building a game engine that has it's own custom VM for the dev terminal (Own CPU architecture and all because hey, who needs interpreters)

I remember working on an oil and gas project. They are the worst for proprietary formats.
I found a java library that could parse a well log format but it cost £7k/year. The same compamy that created that format also created their own version of CGM, which of course needs specialised software, also created by them to view. Doesn't work on normal CGM readers and can't be converted. -
thePi35yLol feel u there. I personally never liked HTML and CSS, tho got very skilled in js cuz my boss just gets a boner on cool animations. Started building framework for js to exclude HTML and CSS complitly, while adding features bootstrap has it self. Complitly object oriented. My coworker saw what I am doing, he got confused: "Why?", well fuck me I am an fool who wants to build an toolbox with everything web developer would ever need. Reinventing the wheel is can open oppertunity to evolve technology it self, to take another look at the Horizont from better perspective, cuz maybe, just maybe, we will be able to reach longer distance in shorter time.
Me: I fucking hate people using proprietary data formats when there is something more than capable already...
Also me: *Spends an hour designing file structure for a proprietary image format* Hmmm... How can we trim even more bytes off this...
(Designing the format to be smaller than a typical PNG and make it easier to load in data programatically)
